Are you a “yes, but…” person? Really think about it.
Do you feel like you want new ideas and sometimes even ask for them, but almost always have a BUT (a reason why you specifically can’t do it or why it won’t work for you)?
This is a super dangerous place to be.
The yes-butter almost never gets what they want.
They may have some success here and there.
The yes-butter can even unfortunately be deemed unlikable because they always seem negative or can never follow anyone else’s lead.
You may have heard me (very wisely) say that true confidence is being able to lead AND follow.
You can never grow as a person if you think you have it all figured out.
I will be the first to admit that it took me waaaaaaayyyyyyyyyy too long to catch on to this.
In fact, I even paid mentors thousands of dollars and still yes-butted my way through their coaching.
Now, I aim to learn something new from as many people as possible.
You would be so surprised by how the best lessons seem to come in the most unlikely packages.
If you are truly into self growth and development, you want to become a Yes-nower.
You want to be the person who says “yes” to learning new things from new people.
You want to find reasons to seek out experts who can easily show you how to do more of what you are doing really well and different things you can do to get better results.
The second part, the “now” part is the real key.
You want to try whatever it is you have just learned RIGHT FRICKING NOW.
That’s the only way to get real world results so you can move forward instead of spinning your wheels staying stuck.
So, are you a yes-butter or a yes-nower???
