The Part-Time 7 Figure Coach: A Manifesto to Work Less, Help More People, and Make More Money
This is a manifesto for those of you who are called to be part-time 7 figure coaches.
For those of you who want to reject the status quo of living an average life on other people's terms.
But why part-time?
Why 7 figures?
Why be a coach?
Why does any of this matter?
The answers to these questions are rooted in the current problems people face.
The Current Reality for the Average Person
Today, most people are
- living paycheck to paycheck
- under-paid
- over-worked
- over-stressed
- unhealthy
- unhappy
- lonely
- and have very little meaning in their lives.
Living an average life looks bleak and it's only getting worse.
First, let's look at the current reality around money for most people.
Current Money Realities
Most people live paycheck to paycheck and are just barely paying their bills.
According to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau's (CFPB) 2022 Making Ends Meet survey, almost 4 in 10 American families would not have enough money to see them through one month if they lost their main source of income. That means the average person doesn't have enough money in their bank accounts to get them through a financial emergency.
Financial stress refers to a feeling of worry or anxiety over money, debt and various expenses. In an April 2023 Bankrate survey, 62 percent of U.S. adults said money has a negative impact on their mental health, including causing stress and that they feel worry and anxiety over money, debt and various expenses
Almost 40% of Americans rely on credit cards to cover their basic monthly needs.
The reality is most people are underpaid and don't make enough money.
Their income is barely enough to pay the bills let alone fund the life of their dreams.
The truth is a person won't make significantly more money as long as they're working for someone else.
Even though most people are significantly underpaid and face money problems this is just the tip of the iceberg of problems for the average person.
Current Work Realities
Most people work full-time. They work long grueling hours doing things they don't like.
Many people have commutes to work cutting into their personal time.
They have very little flexibility in when they work and how they work.
They miss their kids games, recitals and big moments due to work commitments.
They have almost no time and energy for themselves, self-care or engaging in their personal passions.
The average person is hustling from one task to another with little time to relax.
72% of people are struggling to balance family and work.
89% of people feel like they don’t have enough time to get it all done.
77% of people who work full-time have experienced burnout at their jobs.
Grueling work hours and schedules are leading to less fulfilling relationship, more divorce and more loneliness for people.
62% of people report feeling isolated, lonely and not supported at work.
Worst of all most people don't have control of their work life and don't have the flexibility in their work that they want.
So we know most people are underpaid and overworked...
How does this impact people?
Work Realities on our Personal Lives
Being underpaid and overworked has seriously negative side effects.
It's bad for your mental and emotional health.
It's bad for your physical health.
It's bad for your personal relationships.
It's bad for your quality of life.
About 33% of people report feeling extreme stress every week.
This is acute stress that has severe consequences in your life.
77% of people experience stress that affects their physical health.
73% of people have stress that impacts their mental health.
48% of people have trouble sleeping because of stress.
61% of people experience fatigue or low energy due to their work/life setup.
Unfortunately, we can't separate our work lives from our personal lives. They are one system and what happens in one impacts the other.
So we've seen that the current state of work impacts every area of our lives.
But there is one aspect of life that is almost never talked about, but is maybe the most important part of a person's life.
Current Meaning Realities
The average person gets almost no positive meaning or purpose from their work.
They're collecting a paycheck and counting down the years or decades until retirement and that's it.
Even if they started their career with a lot of meaning and purpose, the long hours, stress and work politics have drained all the meaning and purpose out of their work (you'll often see this with doctors, nurses, veterinarians, teachers etc.)
The lack of meaningful work and not having a sense of purpose from your work negative impact everything else in your life.
Today, we want to talk to you about the part-time part.
Working only part-time as a coach is important because we are anti-hustling.
Hustling non-stop is BAD for you.
It's not that we NEVER work hard.
But we don't work long hours.
We definitely don't waste tons of time doing things we don't like doing.
We are FOR spending our precious time and energy on this earth doing meaningful, fun things with people who matter to us.
For us, that means we spend a lot of time with family and friends.
We also spend as much time as we want doing things we're passionate about.
Working only part-time frees you up to do anything you want.
One of Ashley's passions is making jewelry.
This year she was able to start a thriving jewelry business on the side that she loves because she only needs to work part-time as a coach.

When you only need to work part-time you can live any lifestyle you want.
You don't have to deal with all the stress and dreadful long hours almost everybody else lives with.
How much healthier, happier and more meaningful would your life be if you could get away from all the stress of the average work life and spend most of your time doing things you truly enjoy?
